About Athens Day Trips: who we are and how it works

Every trip is operated by our licensed partner, a Greek transport company operating for 17 years. Their name is on every quote, and your booking and payment are with them.

What our partner does: employs the drivers, provides the air-conditioned vans, runs the trip on the day and takes payment.

What we do: answer your questions, help you pick a trip, send your quote within 2 hours and stay in touch on WhatsApp before, during and after the trip.

The drivers are English-speaking Greek locals. They are not licensed tour guides and do not guide inside archaeological sites.

1. Tell us about your trip. 30-second form. Pick a destination or tell us you need advice. No commitment.
2. We send you a custom quote within 2 hours. By WhatsApp or email, your choice. Exact price, exact pickup time, your driver's name.
3. Confirm and pay securely. Payment is handled on the spot at the day of the trip, by our licensed operating partner through their secure card link or with cash. You get the full itinerary by email, and we stay reachable on WhatsApp before, during and after your trip.

On the day, your driver picks you up at your hotel, Airbnb or port, usually at 7–8 AM for full-day trips. The van is for your group only, up to 12 passengers, and the price is per van, not per person. Child seats are free on request.

Free cancellations. We count on you not to abuse no-shows.

• When the public bus or train is cheaper and good enough, we tell you.
• When a day is long, we say how long, in hours.
• When a private trip isn't worth it for your group, we say so.
• We don't promise anything our partner doesn't deliver.

You can see this in our guides, for example what a day trip from Athens really costs.
